Stage 3: Dummy spitters

Stage 3 and Vive la France! how long has it been since the home country could truly celebrate on their National race?

But interestingly there's an undercurrent brewing and it's starting to surface. Silence/ Predictor/ Dommo Farm Fittes - Lotto Team may fracture internally (that's my guess). The once Robbie led team now is trying to ride for Cadel but will that work? Already Robbie is disgusted that he's not won in three stages. There's no one to do the 'shit' work, he proclaims as there are no teams in the peleton formed to help the sprinters. Will we see a huge Aussie barny (ala Robbie and Stuey)? Robbie said he'll help Cadel if needed but his pride (or head) may get in the way and I can't see Robbie pulling for cadel up the Col? Will we see an early retirement of Robbie if the Green is not within reach?

And for what it's worth, I reckon you can't discount Menchov for the overall title. He's got a good team around him and has apparently been training for this ever since grabbing the ochre in Spain. Tonight's first ITT will really shake out the GC, Cancellarra is my pick for tonight and to be in Yellow for the next couple of days....
